Have you met the situation while I am talking to someone on line, suddenly the line drop. How to resolve it correctly!Who
can tell me about this? Thanks a lot !

PS:The line is POTS !

Are you using tie lines. If so consider switching to ISDN PRI. Also do you have a direct connectivity between your PBX and local vendor. Or does it go through any MUX like Passport or IGX.
If so it can be an issue related to the integration between Definity and these MUXs

I am not using tie line, just common Co line.
Thanks for your help!

Are you getting any system alarms when this drops?
If not I would turn to the LEC and have them test the circuit if you have been able to pin this down to just one pots line.

PS I wonder if nageshpai knows what pots means?????

I don't get any system alarm when it dropped.
I have test what you mean, but it is normal.
If anybody konw more info, please tell me !Best Regards!

Thanks for Bobg1!I think nageshpai should know what pots means!

Can you isolate it to certain trunks? If it is happening across all the CO trunks, you might want to check your CO Trunk Pack. Test the card. Do you know if there has been any work by the local Telco. Lost of times, they break more than they fix. I had a problem similar to this and it ended up being a bad repeater card in the mux down the street.

Just a thought.
