The following file is missing or corrupted....say what?

The Following file is missing or corrupted:

0\dblbuff.sys

0/ifshlp.sys

0/system/vmm32vxd

type the name of the windows loader (e.g., c:\windows\system\vmm32.vxd


How in the world did this happen? I just came in this morning and started it up as usuall and i get this. Wont go into safe mode or anything. What do I do?

Microsoft has offered this information regarding your ifshlp.sys (258471) But something else is going on. If you put the windows CD in, will the computer boot??? If so, I would then run your Virus checker. Not knowing your knowledge level I would suggest eighter reloading windows or trying to fix the missing files.

Thanks for the info, I decided to ditch windows me and go with windows 2000 advance server. Its running great now.
