Hello all,
Just wondering if there is some kind of exterior difference between Startalks, so you can tell which one is a 110, 385 or 550 just by looking at them without having to fire one up or take one apart. What I've found out so far is that the number represents the storage unit in the hard drive. 110 is a none expandable 2 channel, 385 is a non expandable 4 channel, 550 is an expandable to 8 channel, 4 channel, but can you tell through some exterior difference.
TIA,
John

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than to have a frontal lobotomy

The 550 is a startalk C and it will have a built in floppy drive. Other wise you have to look at the motherboard.
Usually a startalk B is an A with a 2 port 4 ch card in it.

Thanks for the info techtel I appreciate it.
