I am installing a VB 6 Package on a Windows 2000 workstation and during installation the message above appears together with
C:\winntSystem32\msvcrt.dll. I
Somehow this file is in use although is does not yet exist on this particular PC.

any ideas?

The dll is the ms visual C runtime library. Are you sure that it does not exist on the pc? Try a search for it. If a dll is in use by the system it cannot be updated on setup without rebooting the pc. see Strongm's solution to this problem at thread222-304179 - or use an installer that can reboot the pc.

Thanks - it helped. I put the msvcrt.dll in the setup.lst to the section of Bootstrap section!
