I have Win XP Pro.
Sometimes after using it for a few hours, It will just show this message each time I try to start any application.
I can not run a single exe until I reboot.
Ones already running are OK, but If I close them, I can't re-run them.

'The Application failed to start properly (0xc0000005) Click on OK to terminate the application.'

What is this problem and what can I do to prevent this happening?

Thanks
-Hayden

It is a driver error fault. I know this will tell you little, but that is what it is: "An attempt occurred to touch invalid memory at a process IRQL that is too high. This is almost always caused by drivers that have corrupted the system pool. If you’ve recently installed any new software, check to see if it’s properly installed; and check for updated drivers on the manufacturer’s web site."

Be absolutely certain about the RAM on your machine, it cannot fail over several hours as you have suggested in a virtual setting such as XP:

.
. You should run the "Driver Verifier Tool" to identify drivers for hardware that are possibly problematic:
