TFTP3060..............Can't find this file

" TFTP3060....can't open this file. " This is what my computer says everytime I turn it on. I have tried to open it and it can find the program. can anyone help me ?

tftp is a file transfer program located in c:\windows\system32

There is no legitimate reason for a package likely requiring tftp to be in your startup.

I suspect a trojan.

Do a complete virus scan.

Then run SpyBot or other trojan scanner:

Hello Bcaster...... I just used Spybot and I'm still getting the same message. But I'm wondering if it's related to the Msblaster Worm that's going around?

Read the entire thread: thread779-627674 want to make the registry edit, and remove msblast.exe from c:\windows\system32.

Enable the native XP firewall if you have nothing else, it will prevent re-infection.

Download symantecs removal tool and run it in safe mode.

I downloaded the patch from MS........ so far , so good. I am wondering if I should also download the symantecs removal tool, also.

quickturtle, yes. It is a good idea to have a thorough virus scan with up-to-date definitions at this point.

And a firewall.
The native XP firewall is sufficient.
