Being fairly new to dreamweaver I still can't get my head around the problem of text in layers.
I have designed my site with layers with text inside them, which reaches edge to edge in some cases but when previewing them the text shrinks and the layer remains the same size, I can live with it but will it effect other users of my site.
Someone suggested using tables but I have tried that with the same result in that the table remains the same but the text shrinks ,
Is there a remedy or do I just have to live with it, any
advice would be appreciated.

P.S. I have used only Dreamweaver and Fireworks to design my site and it appears by some of the postings that I am very lucky to have only this problem,It sometimes worries me that everything is going so smoothly especially having no knowledge of HTML whatsoever when I started and very little now.

Recently I designed a site using ALOT of layers. Afterwords and on testing i found out that Netscape has a hard HARD time handling the information in layers. It doesn't deal with Zlayer like it should and it doesn't allow in layer scrolling of text.

One of my users had his Desktop (Windoze) display setting on Large font. This really screwed with the font because when I designed it I was working with smaller fonts. This will happen if you have large font setting when you are working with layers. I am now trying to convert the site to tables and *choke* frames now. Layers are so smooth to work with in Internet explorer but netscape is nasty so I guess we have to deal with it.

Hope this helps.B-)
