Does any one had experience creating a text heading across two columns (Not two lines in one column)?

Hi are you talking about the headers appearing above the columns.

then just delete one of the cell in the header and make the width of remaining cell to cover the columns required.

Sorry, I did not make it clear enough. It's header on crosstab columns. When I try to delete the next cell to make room for the text field I got a pop up message box ask me to delete either Column or Row. I wonder whether there is a function or fomular that I can use to tweak the width of the cell ? example : BrandName occupy two cells

Brand Name
Day 1 Sales$ Avg
Day 2 Sales% Avg

This will solve ur problem if u are working on 5.X

click on the Brand Name column and apply a break on it.
After this go to menu option Format->Break.

Go to the Across Edge. you will find the brand name entry there. uncheck header and footer and check remove duplicate and centre value across break.
