Hello,

I have an issue, that doesn't seem to be consistent...
I have several subreports, within my report, that contain text boxes on the far right of the page. These textboxes can grow (often they are multiline).
Sometimes, text that is in these boxes is cut off on the final report. The multiple lines will show, but the last few letters of each line are missing.
I have made the subreport smaller, so it is well within the margins of the report. Then I have gone in and made the text boxes much smaller.
Then when I test, it sometimes cuts off the text, and sometimes not...
Any ideas what could be going wrong?
Thanks,
Amber

It could be that the printer driver is forcing additional margins within the main or subreport.

If you move it all the way to the left it doesn't cut off, correct? Of course I'm assuming that you mean that it cuts off the right hand side.

So move it to the left until you no longer experience this.

Yes, text is getting cut off on the right hand side.

I have moved both the subreport border to the left, and within the subreport, the textbox over to the left.

Where the text is cutting off, it is nowhere near the edge of the page.

And there are other items that are to the right of the textbox that is cutting off, that aren't cutting off...

I'm at a loss how to fix this...but it's very frustrating - I think I have it fixed, I view the report, sometimes it will be cut off, sometimes not....

Does sounds annoying...

Try using a formula instead of a text box, and make sure that you've applied the latest service pack.

What kind of formula would I use.

I just looked my report over again - one example I can give is:

I have a 'header' full of text boxes that reach the far right of the page. None are cut off.

Below this, I have a textbox that is stretched the width of the page, but doesn't reach as far right as the header textboxes.
Comments put in this field cut off if they are greater than one line, although they do display the 2nd line of text properly (as in 'can grow' is turned on, and text box does grow in height.) But it isn't wide enough....
