I am at a loss as to why this is happening, but I have a series of Crystal Reports (version 9) that are being used in an ASP application. In the Report Designer I have ensured that there is plenty of room between the righ-hand edge of the text box and the right-hand margin of the page. Unfortunately, for some unknown reason some of my reports seem to be enlarging and cutting off some of the words/letters at the right-hand margin.

Once I see this happening, I can go back into the report designer, and ensure that there is adequate space between the edge of the text box and the right hand margin and then save it. It seems to be okay once again for a while. But it seems that, perhaps because of the way an embedded field is populated, after some time the right hand words or letters will once again start to be cut off.

I have also ensured that there is plenty of room for the text box to grow in LENGTH, too. And I have check "CAN GROW" in the properties dialogue box.

I am at a loss and am hoping against hope that someone might be able to help point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance for any suggestions you might be able to offer.

Are you sure that the ASP server has the correct font installed. I had a similar problem where my application server did not have the exact font and was substituting with something a little bigger causing text boxes to overflow.

To check, print report in Crystal and then in your application and compare text formatting.

Also sometimes the Crystal ActiveX viewer seems to enlarge fonts too.

Thanks, Ian, but I am actually viewing the reports in the report designer on the SAME box that they are being served up on. None the less, it is certainly worthy of another look.
