When you create a text box in Word 2000, the box stays visually. Is there anyway to make the box NOT visible, so you just see the text? This is actually how it works in powerpoint, and someone is wanting it that way in Word.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

If you right click on the textbox, you will get a shortcut menu. Choose Format Textbox. Under Colors and Lines set Fill to No Fill using the drop down and set Line to No line.

right click on the textbox in design mode (on the toolbars w/ the triangle stencil)

click properties
on special effect--select '0-fmSpecialEffectFlat'
