text box keeps moving

I have placed two linked parts of an Excel sheet in two separate text boxes (side by side) on page 18 of a 23 page Word doc. I save it and when I reopen the Word doc the text boxes appear at the very top of page 1 and the link to the objects in the TOC has changed to page 1. The other Excel objects that are inserted into the document don't move.
Very strange, what?

Why are you using textboxes? If you need them side-by-side, try placing them in a one-row, two-column table, one in each cell. Anne Troy
