We are installing a system and want to test a CO trunk board, type TN2147.
When we connect a TN793 analog line the port status stays disconnected. We are able to dial to the TN793 port and the station rings. Only when we want to answer the phone the call is disconnected.
Does anyone know if we can test it like this, or does anyone knows another way to test this?

Thanks.

tn793 is an analog station circuit-pack. It will not work with trunks. However, a station programmed on a tn793 can be
connected to a tn747 or tn2147 and you can program a loop start trunk on one of these trunk card ports and test incoming and outgoing calls.

Hi, We tried to do that.
Connect a analog station to a CO trunk card, but the trunk is not in service(test 0, off hook, fails)
We are able to dial to the analog station and the call is traveling through the CO trunk.

if you are installing a system and you have a CO trunk available, why don't you just use it and just move it down the ports one by one to test?

The CO Trunk is a 911 line and can't be removed from production. We have to replcase this system and want to test the CO Trunk.

Regards

If you have an analog INADS line you can use that for testing.

We don't have a direct INADS line. We only have 1 directly to the CM.

We have solved the issue by switching the 2 cables. We have set the polarity different and it works.

thanks.
