Hi Guys,

I need a bit of help programming VM Pro, my customer wants to change each extn's status using vmpro.

I've created the call flows using test user variables which work ok but how do i switch them individually?

when i activate the user variable ALL the call flows change. The customers handsets are 5402's so i'm using a Module in VM Pro to do the switching.

will I have to create individual modules for each user?

I Have enclosed a screenshot of the call flow.

Regards Skippy.

When you want to change it per user then you should create a variable for each user.
Then you need to set this variable for each user.

So user 201 has variable 201 and 202 has 202 etc etc.
If this needs to be done for every group then replace user for group :-)

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

You would need to create a variable for each user, the user variables (if applied to all call flows) are a system wide change not an individual one. Therefor you would also need a module per user to set and test their own variables, if you explain what the end result you want to achieve is we can probably suggest alternatives if available. Also the use of asisted transfer (I see those in the screenshot) if not adviseable if you are having all users calls route through VM Pro :-)

Thanks for the help i thought that there might be an easier way rather than having to create loads of modules.

The users want to have the ability to change their status easily. Eg (out of office) or (On Holiday) they have 5402 handsets phonemanager lite and voicemail pro.

what i have done for the 4 greetings is, i have created a module for each user with a menu then option for each greeting that they need to change. I was planning to put in a sub menu so that they can change there status too. Eg 1 for On Holiday, 2 for Off Holiday etc. They would then change the "set user variable" for what option was chosen.

Regards Gary.

Probably easier to swtich to Intuity mode in the VM Pro, makes the usual task of accessing vm more laborious but you get multiple greetings by default :-)
