I am getting a message that says my temporary ts license is about to expire. I have a windows 2000 domain and this 2003 server is just a member server. I thought 2 license's came with the server for admin puposes. It does for w/2000 server. Or at least I have never bought any TS licenses for the w/2000 server and I am not getting any dialog boxes that are telling me that my license is expiring. I just need the two for me and my administrator. Maybe I configured it wrong or something.

I think that for the two management accounts you don't have to set up terminal services. If you did set the server up as a terminal server it will run for I think 60 or 90 days and then you need to buy licenses and setup a licensing server. Just for the 2 default accounts you don't have to set terminal services.
Hope this helps.

As long as both of your accounts are members of the domain admins group (or local admins on the TermServer) you shouldn't have a problem. If you get locked out, try using the Add/Remove Programs tool to remove Terminal Services and readd it again, making sure that you are running it in Administration mode and not Application mode.

Thanks, I am not sure where I go to change it to run in admin mode vs app mode.

It's a choice you make when you go to install the service using the Add/Remove Windows Component applet. I think that maybe Terminal Services is installed out-of-the-box in admin mode on Windows 2003 Server but not on Windows 2000.

Correct, out of the box it plays admin mode, so if you have a TS service, then you have it in APP mode. You want to remove that.
