My remote user is running windows 2000 pro. I have had my ts server up and running fine for a while. All of of users except the problem one is running xp. This is why i think it has something to do with windows 2000.

My user running windows 2000 can't print to his local printer. I have installed the driver on my end and the user does have Local Printers checked off on the Local Reasouces tab. Does his printer need to be shared inorder for him to see his printer.

That is the only thing i can think of at this time.

Please let me know what you guys think.

Nick

Anyone have any ideas???

check on your server event viewer, maybe you need to install the driver

I did that already... When I log on with an xp machine everything works fine...

I know you said you have installed the driver but can you make sure you have the 2000 version of the driver installed? (The WINNT 4.0 or Windows 2000 version when viewed from PRINTERS--> FILE --> SERVER PROPERTIES --> DRIVERS TAB.

Also, you need to make sure that the driver is exactly the same.

That is to say "hp LaserJet 4" does NOT equal "HP LASERJET 4"

I just double checked and my Print Driver and his Print Driver are exactly the same... The only difference is that he loaded his from the HP cd...

I have him give me the cd so I can load the same..

Nope he is printing to its IP address
