I need to know if there is anyway to increase the number of connections to the server in admin mode at the same time.

Thanks in advance

Remote Administration mode allows for only 2 concurrent connections. There is no way to increase this. If you want more connections you will need to switch to Application Server mode and install License server and purchase TCALs (Terminal Services Client Access Licenses). This can get expensive. Let me make sure I understand you. When TS is in Remote Admin mode, there can be 2 separate admins connected to the server at one time? I really dont need more than that, but it would be nice to be able to kick off idle connections when someone forgets to end the session. I need to have 4-5 people admin this server at a max, but they dont need to be connected at the same time. I believe there are some config setting that will take care of this. Am I correct in my line of thinking?

Thanks again for the help

No config needed except at the workstation. As long as no more than two people are connected only. (You can always use tightvnc, which is free and allows multiple users to be on the same screen at the same time. You and someone else would see what's actually happening on the screen. Only problem is it doesn't like dos apps.) Glen A. Johnson

well we tried VNC, and its just much slower than TS. but the problem I am having now is that when I try to log on and my connection excedes the max connections to the server, I need to be able to bump off idle connections so i can get at the server. I havent seen an option like that on the client side, but i think there is a way to do that on the server config.

Any thoughts??
