Afternoon.

I have Terminal Services set up on a DELL PowerEdge 2500 running W2K Adv Server. When a client tries to attach thru a Remote Desktop Connection, the server crashes with an Illegal Kernel Mode message, runs the physical dump and then reboots.

I have upgraded the BIOS, re-installed TermServer several times and I am still having this issue. Almost ready to blow the OS off the disc and re-install W2K again.

Any ideas what I can look for???

Thanks

Hi there.

I think that a first option is to check if your memory modules is ECC or non ECC and if you have a memory leak on your modules, then you should run a memory tool module called poolmon.exe to troubleshout you memory leak ( if one is discovered) you can find more information on this
on , Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 177415.
Make sure that there is no hardware conflict whatsoever.
Disable all unnecessary modules.

Good luck.
