Im connecting to an Windows Terminal Server via an Windows 2000 PPTP VPN server. But when the session is idle for some seconds the Terminal Server client disconnects. The PPTP session is still alive but i have to reconnect to the WTS.

Is there any setting to get the session alive when idle?

Greatful for answer.

Have you checked the Terminal Service Manager and see what's allowed. When we installed TS, it practically configured itself. We left all the default settings. Also, in the manager there may be an option for setting the time outs. Good luck. Glen A. Johnson

The Windows Terminal Server is an NT 4 server. And it works fine when connecting via an ISDN router. So the problem could't be in the WTS.
Seems like the Windows 2000 PPTP VPN server sort of disconnects, but the link is still there.

Greatful for more ideas!

Can you go to the manager and see if the link is still active? Glen A. Johnson
