How does one setup a terminal server client so that you can access your local drives while in a terminal server session? How can you transfer files? I know this is easily done with Citrix, but is it possible with terminal server?

HI.

There are few ways:

* The latest soon to come TS on the NET servers will support RDP 5.1 which has this capability built in as far as I know.

* Search for "RDPCLIP" - This allows copy and paste via a TS session, and is probably the best answer for you.

* You can implement an FTP server or other file sharing service on the TS to allow file transfer, however this adds some complexity and security problems.

* If the workstation and server on the same network (no firewall between), you can share a folder on the client and use it for file transfer.
