Terminal Server 2008 Login?

Due to daily printing issues and some nice features in 2008, I am migraing our Terminal Server farm from 2003 to 2008. While testing, I'm noticing an issue when an end user tries to login to any of the servers, they are forced to put in domain\username. Is there a way around this? End users are not very savy and are not used to putting in anything but there username and password, not to mention, they don't even know the domain they are logging in to. I really need to find a solution for this. Obviously this is not how 2003 worked. I've tried using old and new versions of RDC and the same problem exists. If anyone came accross or comes accross something that could help rectify this issue, I would appreciate it.

it can be saved in the rdp default setup, but keep in mind if they log into multiple domains it will use the last one they were in. depending which RDP client you're using in the older ones there is a space for a domain name to be saved, in the newer one you have to put domainname\username and that can be saved.


alternatively you can use an email type username say the username is bob tell them to log in as bob@domain.com and it'll auto fill in the domain field.

Yeah, I knew this, but to be able to let over 400+ users know how/when/what to do is just kaotic. A lot of my clients are call centers and do not have communication with all of them. Looking for some type of auto domain put in at the 2008 login screen or act as if all usernames are coming from within the domain.
