Is there any way to program so that DnD shuts off hunt group calls while still allowing private line calls to ring? A different solution is acceptable, just thinking there should be some way to do this.

That is not possible.
You can always remove the DN from the Hunt Group.
The purpose of the hunt group is to ensure call coverage.
