This has happened to me twice. I have a nice functional site with a template that is connected to all of my pages in its directory and I can easily update the pages when I make changes to the template...
At some point in time my template seems to become unattached to its child pages. So when I make a change to the template and it goes through the process to update pages; no updates are made...

OK. This was a problem last night. Before I went through and posted this today I tried to update my pages again just to see. Well, it worked this time...aaahhhh.

So I really don’t have a question anymore, but if anyone knows why this happens let me know so I can understand.

Thanks in advance.

I never have liked the templates in DW. I work on a company Intranet with over 2000 pages. If I used templates every time I wanted to make a change I also have to upload 2000 pages. I use includes that way when a change is made it is only 2 or 3 files that need uploading.

"I use includes"

-not to sure what you mean by that.

I do generally only have to update a few pages. I only have somewhere around a 100 pages to work with, but sometimes I have to make changes to the template. This process can go smoothly or cause me problems. I am starting to not care for DW templates. I wonder if there is any difference with DW MX?
