Hello, I recently had to setup alot of my users with roaming profiles, and I realize that the temporary internet files directory grows very large and is transferred each time my user logs on or off making logon logoff time like 10-15 mins which is unacceptable. I know I can manually change the settings in IE so it doesnt save 70 megs of files, but that is not really feasible for me to do cause I dont see every user on a day to day basis. My question is, is there a command I could enter into a batch script and run the script as a logon script to change the size of the temporary internet files saved? Any other suggestions are more than welcome. Thanks..

Hi,

you can change the path for the folder temperary internet files.and another thing yopu can do is you can skip temp internet files folder from roaming profiles.

For changing the path go to tools menu option -->Internet options-->Under General Tab in settings option --> you can specify the path using the option "move to the folder"
Select the folder where you want to save the files.

for skipping temp internet files from profiles folder you can use system policy editor.

check out this site for applying resrictions using system policy for internet explorer.

hope this helps
