Might be safest to do this in single user mode, but if you're really sure that this is what you want to do:<br><FONT FACE=monospace><br>cd /var<br>rm -fr ./tmp<br>ln -s /tmp /var/tmp<br></font><br>This removes /var/tmp and then sets up a symbolic link from /tmp to /var/tmp.<br><br>Although this should work, there's a very slight possibility that this might cause applications to fail if they are expecting /var/tmp to be a "real" directory.<br><br>Another possiblity may be for you to extend the size of /var/tmp, if it is under volume manager control. This would probably be a better way of doing things.
