I was wondering. I have a website with a link to a telnet session for some of my sales people to view their commissions. I was wondering if Windows CE has telnet capabilities so that i could purchase PC Phones and have my sales people view their commissions using their pc phones?

If CE doesn't come with telnet, is there any software that either mimics or allows pc phone devices to have telnet capabilities?

Thank You in advance

I know there are several programs out there that run on CE for handhelds to provide telnet connectivity. Check with a couple of those companies to see if they have broadened their product line to phones. A problem you may run into is that I don't think the phone browsers understand any kind of browser link other than the standard kind. Even if you were able to to find an app that would let a user telnet from their phone, you would have to make sure the browser supported plugins and would recognize the type of link your trying to send. My guess would be that the technology hasn't gotten that far yet unless your using a PDA Phone. You might be able to write a simple client/server app that would simulate a telnet server however, my company is working with mobillium (sp?) right now, they specialize in sending and receiving messages to phones and I believe it is similar to an SMS message rather than just a text message, meaning you can have a client running on the phone waiting for the server to send a message or vice versa and start talking back and forth. I wish my info were more solid, but I have been away from that project for several weeks and have a memory like a sieve.

Would it be possible to use Windows CE to run a telnet session on and embedded pc?

Connection would be via a wireless network not dial up.
