I have a teac cd-w516eb 1.0J that is connected to a ECS K7VZA mainboard using OS Windows 2000.

The problem that I’m experiencing is that my computer don’t think this is a cd-r-rw device. (When I’m checking what device I have under “ Device Manager” it say DVD/CD-ROM drives- Teac cd-w516eb. The version of driver to the cd is 5.0.2183.1 from Microsoft.
I use nero 5.0.0.3 (When asked to chouse recorder-Image Recorder is the only chouse) and cdrwin 3.8A (No CDROM recording device was found on the SCSI or IDE bus!) as you can see there is nothing.

What is the problem with my computer or is the cd-rom fake?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for the tip. I copied the file in the nero catalog but nothing happend. Nero still only finds a virtual driver and not my cd. But I was thinking if the drivers on my computer are not good. When I listed the drivers I did not find any Teac only drivers from other companys (CD-ROM) drivers. Could it have to do with this?

you could try the cdrom.cfg, or use the newer version
try to use version 5.5.6.4, if you don't use SCSI Plextor 40x then the newest 5.5.9.0 is good for you
