Tasks not running under different user

I have scheduled a backup set on a client's 2000 Server using the provided backup program in 2000 and the Windows task scheduler. I created the backup set and scheduled it while using the Administrator account. If the Administrator account is not logged on, then no tasks will run. The other account that is currently logged on is a member of the Administrators group. The tasks are currently set up to run as MPR\Administrator. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Make sure the RunAs Service is started.

Thanks for the help. The RunAs service is already started. Do I need to set a password using the "set password" button? I was prompted to enter a password when I created the tasks. Thanks.

If you are saying your Administrator account has no password, then YES you better set a password for it.

No, the Administrator account has a password. When viewing the properties of the scheduled task there is a button that says "Set Password" next to the Run as: field. I am just curious as to what this does.

I believe that sets a password to prevent tampering with the task.

In case anyone else happens accross this thread, the fix was to use to "Set Password" button. When logged on as a different user than what appears in the "Run As" box, you must supply the password for the "Run As" account in order for the task to run. This must be performed for each user that may potentially be logged on when the task needs to run.
