Win2K Pro - NAV 2002, subscription status is ok into '04. The following msg is from the task scheduler error log:

The attempt to log on to the account associated with the task failed, therefore, the task did not run. The specific error is:
0x8007054b: The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted. Verify that the task's Run-as name and password are valid and try again.

The run-as name works when I copy it to the run dialog box. I am running the task in the account from which NAV was unstalled. Giving the Administrator a pwd and running the task from there doesn't work either.

Thanks as always....

Lupini,

I'm not that familiar with NAV 2002 (though I'm VERY familiar with NAV Corporate versions). Does NAV 2002 not allow you to run a scheduled scan ? Sorry to ask but I wondered why you are using Task Scheduler.

One solution to the Task Scheduler issue may be to try running the app under the system account.

Hope this helps.

I think it has to do with which account is for what, but I installed NAV under the same account as I am trying to schedule the scans. NAV used Task Scheduler to schedule its scans.

Thanks. Further ideas appreciated....at a loss.

Changing permissions in the registry didn't help. Now I can't get the task scheduler to register that it even tried running the scan. Strangely, Task Scheduler does run ndetect.exe to get the updated virus definitions. I tried configuring the scan schedule the same without success. Also I un and re-installed NAV.

Something about task scheduler is eluding me.
