TASK BAR ICON....HOW TO REMOVE?

How can I remove icons on the task bar that I never use
in XP prof.?
 
Sort by date Sort by votes
right-click a blank area of the taskbar, Properties, and select Hide inactive icons.
Now select the Customize button.
If you now right-click any of the icons show you can set them to 'always hide'
