I just upgraded our R1T1 to 6.1, and now the target lines aren't going to the right places-- the call comes in on the T1 channel 1, and then goes to the prime set for that channel, instead of the prime for the target line.

I'm not very familiar with the 6.1 (not at all), since I've just been working on the R1T1. The KSU is new, too, but the s/w had the same problem on the old KSU.

Thanks for any help, especially since I feel like this is a dumb question...

Remove the prime on the trunks. What are the channels E&M,DID ?Since this was at R1T1 it is not a PRI.

R1T1 target lines start at 121 - 6.1 target lines start at 157. You will have to re-do them.

I got them all above 157. E&M. DID didn't work, either.

Do I need to enable the target lines?

The card is properly configured for T1. Line001, the first channel, is on port 201, just as it was on the old system.

Line001
Trunk type: E&M
Line type:pool A
Dial mode:Tone
PrimeSet:none
Dstnct rng: None
Auto Privacy:Y
Ans mode:Manual
Aux. ringer:N
Signal:WinkStart
ANI Number:Y
DNIS Number:Y

Without the prime set, it just rings and rings, but otherwise it goes to the prime set.

Line157 (target line)
Trunk/Line data>
Line Type:public
Rec'd #:0520
If busy:BusyTone
PrimeSet:252
Dstnct rng: None
Aux ringer:N

The If busy setting does not change anything here.

There is an Adtran 608 hanging on the wall supplying the T1 to the Norstar. How can I determine for sure it's not supplying the proper DNIS?

Upgrade process:
1) power down
2) switch s/w R1T1 to R6.1
3) login and set time
4) figure out where things are and start programming the outside lines
5) target lines weren't working right, so I decided to give a punch in the dark and put the new (to us) 0X32 in, with software and all our cards: a 6-port fiber expansion, a 4-port POTS card we don't use anyway (this is the one w/o connectors on the front, the NT5B40GA-93), and the T1 card.
6) reprogram again, change DNs to their proper numbers

It gives busy without target set.

Outgoing calls are working.

Could the software be bad?

Worst case scenario, how can I revert to an R1T1 again on this KSU?

You might want to try running startup, and programming from scratch. Painfully time consuming, but it'll fix any corrupted database issues.

I think I'll do that and see what happens. I was hoping for a quicker solution, but if that's what I have to do, such it is.

Is your software sleeve a -2? It needs to be.

MarvO said it

The trunks have to be set for Auto Answer so they can accept the DNIS that telco is sending. If they are Manual then as soon as the circuit is open it will ring whatever is assigned to that line. That is why you getting Lne 1 instead of Line 157.

It is 6.1 MR
I just did startup, with the same results
The sleeve says it's a NTBB08GA-93 02 2004/05/20

I'm working on it, and I think the "auto" may be working. BRB
