Tapes no longer showing correct Serial number 1

After this weekend BrightStor ArcServe Backup for Windows 9.01, is no longer labeling the tapes with the correct barcode.

The tape should show the serial #GQK334, and are now showing a serial #1400000.

We are using the HP StorageWorks MSL5026S2 with 24 Slots, with SDLT tapes and barcodes to identify each tape.


Help appreciated.

This #1400000 serial number is coming from ARCserve itself.
Is the barcode reader still working correctly, can you read the correct barcodes on the MSL display screen ??

Thank you Cyklops for your prompt response to my problem, to answer you question, the MSL is displaying the correct barcodes, but ARCserve is still assigning it's own serial numbers.

I have been sick for the past few days, and did not see your post till today.
