I am trying to configure amanda and I want to know what kind of tape device can we use. Does it matter if we use the nst0 or st0. Do we really have to use the no rewind tape device. What is the different between nst and st0.

If you're doing multiple saves on the same tape, it's important that you use the no-rewind device so that every save doesn't just overwrite the previous one, but follows on in sequence. HTH.
