Does a tape library need to be 'mounted' after connecting it to fibre card?

I have installed an ATTO Celerity 162E PCI x8 fibre card in my server, and installed the corresponding driver.

After connecting a tape library, the light correctly illuminates.

Do I need to take further steps, i.e., do the tape library and tape drive need to be 'mounted' using a linux command; neither are listed under lsscsi -g ?

The Celerity host adaptor card is however visible under lsscsi -H

Best regards

... I'm always happy when I can solve a problem!

Here was the solution:

Hitting CTRL-F on the reboot at BIOS level allows this card to be configured; in order for the card to recognise attached devices, it was necessary to switch the connect mode from 'Point-To-Point' to 'AL Preferred', commit the changes and restart.

Success, the devices were detectable at BIOS level and under lsscsi -g

Best regards
