Tallying up numbers from a matrix of forum fields.

Please help me modify this script for adding up the column and row totals from a series of text fields:

I've got that working on my own project, with some modification for uneven rows to cols... but how do I get it working when there are gaps of no fields in the grid? (hoels where its not applicable to put anyting under that column/row?)

The script seems to expect the same number of rows/colums for each set of totals.

Could you provide a link to your own modifications. Also... what have you tried yourself so far (s we don't end up going over covered ground so to speak).

Could you perhaps replace the "holes" in your grid with zeros to make it spin again?
