Table properties in ASP.net

Hi!

I was wondering if anybody could help me out?!

I've got the background of my web page set to an image, I also have a table on the page. Unfortunately the table creates a big white box when the page is viewed and instead of this I'd like to set the table to be transparent, or the background as none.

Is this possible? I'm working with Web Matrix so there aren't any prompts! I'm coding in VB, just incase this makes a difference.
