Greetings
I am attempting to use a Wingding/Dingbat as an autofil character for a leader in the Tab formatting Palett. I have selected the correct tab placement. It works, it just doesnt put in the correct item.

I know you can pick a single character and place it for auto fil leader by pressing cmd shift Z then the letter of the dingbat. It makes the corrent dingbat appear in another text box, then I highlight the dingbat and copy it to the Tab Pallett under the right tab placement. I set and apply but it only shows an "h" which is the corresponding letter of the dingbat in a letter font. I have dingbats installed on the system, so that shouldnt be an issue. I am curious to know why this works on some systems and not others, if there is a preference I need to check.

thank you
D

Go ahead and do it as "h". Once you close your tab pallete, then highlight the tab character in your text box and change the font to the correct dingbat.

Thank you for your post, but that is a work around, this works without changing the font. I do not have that type of luxury to change the font. It should work right the first time.
