Tab behaviour in Word Tables 1

I have a document template with a number of tables used for text entry. What I would like is to tab around from one cell to the next, then from the last cell of one table into the first cell of another. Less desired, but also satisfactory would be to move out of the last cell and go nowhere in particular.
What is happening is that a Tab from the last cell in a table makes a new row in the table then move to the first cell in that row.
Any ideas for a Word dummy.

Couple of solutions, depending on how many text entries you have to do.

1. Make formfields (either text, or drop downs, or check boxes whatever), in the cells you want to use for data entry. Protect the sections with those tables. User then tabs bwteen the formfields. In this case, when they get to the last cell of Table1 and press Tab, it jumps to the next formfield. Which is in the first cell of the next table - assuming it does in fact have a formfield. In any case the Tab key moves between formfields in protected sections. It does NOT create a new row in a table - even if the current location is the last cell of a table. It always jumps to the next formfield, if it exists.

OR,

2. Create a UserForm for all your entries. Do your error checking, then place the entries into the appropriate points. These points could be located by:

a)bookmarks and then the values inserted; OR
b)having formfields at those points and putting your entry values as the .Result of the formfield.

There are, of course, other ways to do this. It also depends on what you may want to do with the entries after you have them.

Hope this helps.
