Does anyone know if a T7406 has a port for a headset? If so do you have any recomendations for a cordless.

Yes the T7406 has a headset port on the top of the phone.
As for headsets, I know Plantronics makes excellent product. We've distibuted many different headsets where I work and dropped them all except for Plantronics.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than to have a frontal lobotomy
