T7316E Display

I am using a T7316e on a 7.1 CICS system. The display shows solid black lcd on each character and has four arrows on the righthand side. Up, down, left, and right. If I use feature key I can see slight characters underneath the solid lcd. Telephone works fine, but no display.

You might have the contrast turned up to high. You use feature *7 to adjust the contrast buy pressing up or down then hit ok to set the level

The contrast changes nothing. The telephone was sold to me recently as a refurb. This is the second telephone in a month that has the same problem. One on a MICS and another on a CICS. I tried set test, contrast change, disabling, and unplugging.

Just thought someone may have seen this before.

sounds like a defective display. Swap it w/ a known working one to test.
