Just playing around with v3.1.11 at the mo

Looking at the users config details it has a couple of tabs called :

1)Hunt Group Settings (T3 Sets Only)
2)Personal Directory (T3 Sets Only)

so what is a T3 Set?

TIA

T3's are very well made but large phones from German (the folks at Tenovis, last year taken over by Avaya, will be ranting that they sell all over europe but reality in mainly Germany).

They all have large displays which are used for context sensitive menus that change to match what the user is doing and the options available to them - like the 20 Series phones but better.

3 models in order of size small to large - Compact, Classic and Comfort. The Comfort is huge and even includes a mini text character keyboard.

T3 phones actually come in three flavours Upn (similar to DSP), Ipn (ISDN) and IP. The IP Office will be supporting the Upn variants to start with. Don't know if the others will be coming along later.

The special features: hunt groups displays a list of hunt groups and allows the user to change their status and or the groups service status.

personal directory is a list of speed dial numbers and names but it is stored as part of the IP Oifice configuration so moves with the user.

Unfortunally for Avaya : Tenovis has sold 95% ISDN type of Tenovis extensions. So the trick with INDeX type of extension will not work (return of investment) and having a 3.0DT wich is most likely the last version supporting INDeX type of extensions did not really help to sell the INDeX MediaGateway(the "ready for the future" yell doesn't hold then does it?) .
I think the Tenovis systems awaits the same scenario as INDeX : a good product but not for the US so "end of life" will come soon.

Slightly off topic, I have been playing with V3.1 on an IP403 with DT ports (just for fun) & sofar 2030 phone seem to work without a problem.
Programming a DSS key by hand is now unrelaible & the system can get the wrong button , especialy if trying to programm a park bay & I think Visual voice may have been damaged but everything else still works as per V2.1

Personaly I would like to see the T3 sets available in the UK, the do not have the same "Fischer Price" look & feel that the 24/54 serise phones have.
