Hi,
We have a G3i that is connected 24 channels to a magix using t-1. Most of the calls from the Magix to the G3 work OK, but calls across channels 19,20, and 21 from the G3 to the Magix fail everytime. We have done all the tests we know. Ds1 board tests. TTR tests in the Magix, etc. We have changed the circuit packs 2-3 times also.
Good old Qwest says its not their problem.
When we put a t-burd on the Magix end we can see digits come across the bad circuits. And the calls never connect. We can also see the digits coming across the good circuits and they remain on the screen until the call is completed.

Any ideas?
Thanks so much for your help.
Rex

are you using any compression or multiplexing equipment? I seem to remember having a similar problem like this, ages ago and we ended up changing the T1 connection.

No we're not. Other than this being a t1 to start with. We are using 931 csu units at each end.

What did you change in the "T1 connection"?

Thanks
Rex

sorry, i meant we had the CO provision another T1

Hi,
Turns out we moved the T1 card to the second carrier and everything started working fine. Tested the power supplies in both carriers. They are fine. So we replaced the Magix carrier in the 1st carrier and put the T1 card back in. Everything now seems to work fine. We're thinking the carrier was fried or was tightened down to tight or crooked by the original installer causing it to warp in some odd manner.
Thanks for your help.
