T-SQL 2005 UPDATE DATA VIA FLAT FILE

I have an existing table with one column that needs updated approx 3000 rows. We have the correct data in an excel file and the first column is the primary id of the column.

How do I update the description field in SQL with what is in excel...

and or
SSIS
and or
bcp
and a few more. google import excel sql server 2005. If its a one time thing openrowset may be a easier solution for you if you're not all that familiar with SQL Server
