T-7316's & DR5 Speakerphone issues???

Recently installed T7316's on a client's DR5 6x16. Speakerphones only work one-way (i.e. you can listen to caller from the speaker but must pick up handset to have a conversation).

Nortel's compatability matrix indicates these sets will work with DR5.

Not sure of software issue (labels have been removed from cartridge). Must I upgrade the software?

Go into programing and make sure the station has handsfree activated. If you don't activate handsfree you will still have handsfree monitoring capabilities, but you can't be heard................
 
Yes, handsfree is activated.

Just wondering if anyone else has had issues with this combination and will upgrading the software resolve.

Hate to say this, but make sure handset is plugged into handset jack, not headset jack.

What everyone's trying to say is, no there is no compatibility issue (it does work) and to check your settings again. Maybe power down the system and power it back up.
 
maybe you just have a bad mic ...try swappig with another phone just to test that
 
Seven new T-7316's (both e's and non-e's). Same issue all sets...

Did you try to plug in a M series phone, to see if your compatibility is an issue. See if the problem follows a M series phone. If it does then it may be your programming or the KSU itself.
