Hi Can anyone help
My DC died and I didnt have a second DC so I rebuilt the machine and gave iit the same name and reinstalled AD from backup, this worked fine then i decided to promote another server to be a dc for backup this seemed to have worked fine the problem I have is that the syvols wont replicate. AD setting replicate fine so I went in to my event viewer and these are the two message I am getting

on the rebuilt server i get

Event Type: Error
Event Source: NtFrs
Event Category: None
Event ID: 13539
Date: 04/05/2005
Time: 16:09:06
User: N/A
Computer: SERVERa
Description:
The description for Event ID ( 13539 ) in Source ( NtFrs ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: c:\winnt\sysvol\domain.

and on the DC that i promoted as a backup i get

Event Type: Warning
Event Source: NtFrs
Event Category: None
Event ID: 13508
Date: 05/05/2005
Time: 04:17:10
User: N/A
Computer: SERVERb
Description:
The File Replication Service is having trouble enabling replication from SERVER to SERVER0 for c:\winnt\sysvol\domain using the DNS name Server.readgroup.lan. FRS will keep retrying.
Following are some of the reasons you would see this warning.

[1] FRS can not correctly resolve the DNS name Server.readgroup.lan from this computer.
[2] FRS is not running on Server.readgroup.lan.
[3] The topology information in the Active Directory for this replica has not yet replicated to all the Domain Controllers.

This event log message will appear once per connection, After the problem is fixed you will see another event log message indicating that the connection has been established.
