I have a child domain that I want to be able to go to \\child.parent.local\ and see the sysvol and netlogon shares.
I am running a 3 dc ad tree. If I go to the individual servers I see their SYSVOL and NETLOGON shares. I know there is a way to make a generic domain share for these. Please help

Also When I try to go to
\\child.parent.local
I get an error says:
\\child.parent.local is not access sable. You may not have permissions to use this network share

are you not specifying a share? SYSVOL is a DFS root remember, meaning, you have to specify a target..ie. netlogon or sysvol

\\domain.com\netlogon

does that work to get in?
