When I start a PC with NT Workstation 4.0, the System32 folder opens by itself. MS's KDB Q170086 tells me the following about the Registry information:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run or HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run
Verify that all the values in these keys do not contain any incorrect, incomplete, or null entries (such as "")."

When I look at the HKEY_LOCAL line, I have a line that reads Default="". Should I delete that line from the Regestry?
Thanks...

Compare the key with a good Workstation > No value set
I remember when i a see the same problem and is with the Virus "I LOVE YOU". Check your station before all !

That window will open up when software that doesnt exist is set to startup in your RUN folder in your registry. Compare whats in your RUN folder with software actually on your system. Delete the entry in the RUN folder that doesnt exist.

For example, if Nortons antivirus is set startup in the RUN folder, but you took it off your system, you'd get that folder. You'd delete the antivirus entry in your RUN folder.

BE CAREFUL.
