Hello, and no this is not a quick fix by changing the folder viewing options.

On startup my notebook blue screens. I pulled the HD and slaved it on my desktop and there is no System32 folder under the windows folder.

I used the demo version of Restorer2000 and after scanning the HD, that program can see the System32 but as my G drive, my Desktop cannot see it. i am waiting for a serial number to restore the system 32 folder but am curious is anyone else has had this happen?????

This system has worked fine for 3 years, the HD is not damaged, just seems like OS corruption. Any ideas from anyone?

Thanks
Matt

I had the drive slaved on my desktop and ran the error checking disk tool on it. Came up with nothing. I can access the system32 folder via a command prompt but there are only 5 files in it. In explorer I cannot see the system32 folder at all.

I tried to reset the attributes from another post but it did not work.
I ended up just pulling my data off the drive and reimaging my notebook.

Thanks for your suggestions
Matt
