How do I go about adding a program to startup when I turn on the PC.

Could do it with my 98SE, but can't find it here on Vista Home

If you want a program to start when you log on, simply create a shortcut to the application in your Startup folder. If you want an application to start as a service before you log in, that's a bit more complicated.

That is what I am looking for: "The Startup Folder"
I am using Vista Home and cannot find that folder.
Yes, I am the admin, [only one usin PC] have all visible to see.

It's 'Autostart' in German, 'Startup' in English.

The location of the folder is C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

BadBigBen, what does ORB stand for?
I found the 'startup folder' by going to th 'START' button, 'PROGRAMS', 'PROGRAM FILES'. I did this since it is the only way other than 'windows explorer' or 'search' of finding something on my PC, but I am still at lost of knowing what ORB stands for.

Thanks

Hi,
The Orb is the Vista logo..

Hi,
of course it does not have NeoSmart on it ( That's where I found the image) ..

It is used instead of XP's Start button on the taskbar.
