Hi,

Few days back, I got new IBM A-50 with pre-installed WinXP-SP2. But system is very slow on MS-Office applications all other applications are normal. Any ideas....

Suppose, if i don't get any solution to fasten up the Office apps. I would try to re-install WinXp, please suggest me how can i do this, while I got Windows installation files on an I386 folder. I have a WinXP CD but, license is for another machine. Is there any way that I can boot from that Cd and install WinXP from I386 folder available with system.

waiting for your valued suggestions...

Regards,
Tayyab

Check the free resources percentage when office is in use. If it is low then you will need to close programs that are not in use and check and see if the free resources have a higher percentage. If it do not change much you may need to use the msconfig in the run line to keep programs that are not used when you are using Office. The CD that you have is probably tagged for the license that came with the CD. Unless it is a license you hold it would be illegal to install it on you PC.

my dear, thats my question, if i would try to install from that CD it would be legal, suggest me how can i install WinXP from I386 folder, came with PC.

Thanks & Regards,
Tayyab
